BUDGAM: Surasyar villagers demand widening, macdamization of road

BUDGAM: Residents of Surasyar village in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district have demanded widening of road and it’s macdamization at the earliest.

They said that the narrow winding road was causing traffic jams and accidents too.

Some residents though expressed fear they may not be compensated for the structures pulled down during demolition.

“We have initiated the process of macadamization of road. The work will be started a few within days,” said Prince Noor-ul-Hamid, Sub Divisonal Magisterate Chadoora.

“A team of officials from revenue department will visit the area to make a list of structures needed to be pulled down during widening,” he added.
