PULWAMA: A senior army officer on Tuesday said that two Hizbul militants killed during gunfight in Bandzo village of Pulwama were involved in killing of labourers.
Commander Ajay Kotach, 12 Sector, Rashtriya Rifles, regretted killing of a paramilitary CRPF Jawan during the operation but said that there was no collateral damage during the operation.
“Based on the input by Jammu and Kashmir police, a joint operation involving army, police and CRPF was launched and two Hizbul militants neutralised. Unfortunately, we lost a brave CRPF Jawan during the operation,” said Kotach.
The senior army officer said that the killing of militants was a huge setback to militant group.
