Shopian: Residents of hugely populated Ramnagri, Reshnagri and Jamnagri villages on Thursday reiterated demand for J&K bank branch

They said that authorities promised them bank business unit nearly a decade ago, but to date they have not fullfiled the promise, leaving them to suffer.

The aggrieved residents said they have to travel 10 Kms to avail bank services at Shopian headquarter

“Even villages with much lesser population have banking facility at their doorsteps but we have been ignored,” said a local.

Construction of a hospital building in Ramnagri has also been left incomplete since many years, the local regretted.
